What it measures
The headline figure is the lowest published APR among the lenders we track that accept Bitcoin as collateral — currently 16 centralized and decentralized lenders. Decentralized (DeFi) borrow rates are pulled live; centralized rates are verified against each lender's own published terms, with the "Verified" date showing the last confirmation. The index is a quick market read, not a quote — your actual rate depends on the lender, loan size, term and LTV.
